How we test
Every review follows the same process, so you can judge how much weight to give it.
1. We sign up like a normal seller
We use the tool's free plan or free trial with our own account. We don't accept special review accounts, so what we see is what you'll get. Each review's "What we tested" box names the exact plan.
2. We run real seller tasks
We test each tool on the jobs it is sold for. For example:
- SEO and keyword tools: research the same set of seed keywords in every tool and compare the volume, competition and suggestions they give.
- Print-on-demand: order physical samples to a US address, and record the cost, production time, shipping time and print quality.
- Email and store apps: install on a test store, build the same flow or campaign, and note setup time and what the free plan limits.
3. We document everything
We take dated screenshots of the steps and results we describe. Prices and plan limits come from the official pricing page, checked on the date shown in the review.
4. We say what we didn't test
If a feature is only on a paid tier we haven't used, we say so and stick to the vendor's published description. We never claim hands-on experience we don't have.
5. We keep reviews current
Tools change quickly. We re-check pricing and key features regularly and show an "Updated" date whenever a review changes.
Independence
Vendors can't pay for placement or a better verdict. We earn affiliate commissions on some links, explained in our affiliate disclosure, and that never changes which tool we recommend.
